Getting Started Taping Instructions

Applying Tape:

• Trim excessive hair in the area
• Clean the skin with rubbing alcohol - allow it to dry (do not use soap & water)
• Apply the tape 60 minutes or more before activity
• Avoid touching the adhesive side with your fingers - as you remove the backing
• Leave 2"inches of the tape at both ends COMPLETELY UN-STRETCHED (called an anchor) 
• Once the tape contacts the skin - this should be its final position - DO NOT REPOSITION the tape
• Rub the tape after application to help activate the adhesive

Removing Tape:

• Leave the tape on until it begins to peel off on its own
• Soak the tape in oil (Baby, Coconut, Olive, etc.) for 5 minutes before removal
• Gently peel the tape from the corners
• Hold the skin down and gently roll tape with fingertips

The type of tape that is best for you will depend on several factors:

1) The level of activity you engage in (how rigorous or intense is it?)

2) How many days do you intend to wear the tape

3) Will the taping application get wet (to workout or shower)

You can use any type of tape (or color) for any of our taping applications. 

*There is no performance difference between tape colors. Performance & adhesion vary within each tape type (for example; Pro vs Extreme vs Cotton vs Gentle). We do not have taping applications for every injury or condition. We work closely with Physical Therapists & other medical professionals to add more as needed.

If you do not see a tutorial for the treatment area you need, we recommend seeking guidance from a medical professional [such as a Physical Therapist, Doctor or Chiropractor] for the suggested application instructions.

*All recorded taping applications were created working closely with Physical Therapists & other medical professionals with medical taping expertise*

KT Tape will be made of either COTTON or SYNTHETIC (Pro or Extreme) material.

The tape has an acrylic-based, medical-grade adhesive, that contains no known-allergens, medicines nor additives. 

KT Tape is similar to tapes found in hospitals, clinics and other health care settings.

KT Tape is dermatologist tested to be hypoallergenic

*Individuals with Latex sensitivity, may also experience sensitivity to KT Tape. The tape contains no- latex, natural rubber, additives or medicines.

**If you have skin sensitivities, cancer, or are pregnant, consult your doctor before use. Discontinue use if skin becomes irritated or sore. KT TAPE* is not a replacement for professional medical care. Warranties and remedies limited to product replacement cost.**

The length of wear time will vary depending on several factors including;

1. The rigor of the activity while using the tape (daily wear vs athletic activity)
2. The individuals skin type (dry vs hydrated vs oily)
3. Other external conditions such as use in the water, location humidity, the age of the roll of tape, etc.

*If you find that the tape stays on longer than expected, that is okay. We recommend waiting to remove the tape until it comes off on its own. This can sometimes mean up to the 7-day timeframe. As long as it poses no discomfort or inconvenience, it is okay to leave on.

*Tape should be removed after the 7th day*

KT Tape does not have an expiration date. The manufacture date can be found on the sticker on the spool at the center of the tape roll. The year the tape was made, is indicated by the circled area below.

• Click the 'Manage Subscriptions' button
  
• Make any changes to your subscription

Orders over $50 dollars qualify for FREE shipping

Shipping is free if you spend a minimum of $50 (after discounts & before tax) on your order.

After placing your order, an Order Confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. The email will include an estimated shipping timeframe.
