KT Tape at Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back
JULY 01, 2010
The wildly successful Ragnar Relay got its start in KT Tape's own backyard in Utah. This 24-hour relay race has grown in popularity, as thousands of runners each year trot through the day and night in teams of 12 across amazing terrain. The Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back recently took place in Utah and we spotted a lot of KT Tape fans sporting our colors during the race. Our friends at Suunto sent over this photo of their team--adorned in KT Tape--taken during the relay. The Suunto team needed support on their knees and clearly took care of themselves! They reported back saying it was a fun, pain-free time. They tell us the tape particularly gave them relief during the long, rugged descents.
The Ragnar Relay has experienced dramatic growth in the past couple of years making it one of the most popular relay races in the country. The Wasatch Back course starts in Logan, UT and finishes up 188 miles later in Park City, UT at The Canyons resort. The Ragnar Relay was born in the Wasatch Mountains in 2003 by Steve Hill, his son Dan and friend Tanner Bell who dreamed of one day of creating a grand relay. The originators of this race since the 80's and now only seven years later, the Ragnar Relay series has grown to 12 different races across the country spanning the entire calendar year--becoming the nation's largest relay races.
The event is focused on having fun, being part of a team in an epic event in beautiful locations across the country. The race courses trek through the area's back roads and woods.
