Injured Runners Stay Tough with KT Tape at the Marine Corps Marathon
OCTOBER 26, 2010
Orem, UT Oct. 26, 2010 This weekend, KT Tape will offer free Kinesiology Therapeutic Taping demonstrations and samples for competitors at the Marine Corps Marathon Health and Fitness Expo. KT Tape is the first-ever consumer brand of kinesiology tape. For years, elite marathoners have used kinesiology therapeutic tape for injury treatment, pain relief and performance, and now all runners can have access to that same level of support.
The Marine Corps Marathon is Sunday, October 31st with the Health and Fitness Expo October 29th 9am-7pm and October 30th 9am-7pm. The Expo, free and open to the public, is located at the Washington Convention Center, located at 801 Mount Vernon Place in NW Washington.
KT Tape Advisory Board Member and Arlington, VA-based sports chiropractor Dr. Holly Moriarty will join the KT Tape team at the Expo, along with Marine Corps Marathon Medical Director Dr. Michael Moses. Dr. Moses, who uses KT Tape in his clinic NovaPain, will speak to athletes at the Health and Fitness Expo at 4pm on Saturday about healthy fitness and diet for marathon training.
Because KT Tape is waterproof and can be worn for up to five days per application, Marine Corps Marathoners who stop by the KT Tape Booth at the Expo on Friday or Saturday can get taped up for Sunday!
KT Tape is used by athletes to treat common sports injuries such as runners knee, shin splints, IT Band pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and quad or hamstring strain. It is the only solution that will provide pain relief and support before, during, and after the racewithout restricting motion. At the Expo, the KT Tape team will be available to answer questions, demo product taping methods, and introduce Virginia runners to this revolution in pain relief and performance enhancement.
