How Kerri Uses KT Tape:
Kerri first used kinesiology tape during the 2008 Olympics to support her shoulder and play pain-free after rotator cuff surgery earlier that year. Now she uses KT Tape to continue to stabilize her shoulder after coming back into tournament play following the birth of her first child. It has become an essential part of her game-time equipment.
Bio
Two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh is on her way to becoming the best female beach volleyball player of all time after only playing professionally for seven years. She first used kinesiology tape for increased stability and support after rotator cuff surgery during the Beijing Olympics Beach Volleyball Tournament. She has continued to use it as she comes back to competition this summer after the birth of her son.
Along with partner Misty May-Treanor, Kerri has had one of the longest and most impressive winning streaks in professional sports. Most recently, Kerri won the international spotlight during her pursuit of a second Olympic Gold Medal at the Beach Volleyball Championships in Beijing. Kerri and Misty also won Olympic Gold in the Athens games in 2004.
Kerri and Misty captured the SWATCH-FIVB World Championships in 2003, 2005, and 2007. She has received honors and recognition from domestic and international volleyball leagues, including Best Hitter, Best Blocker and Sportsperson, as well as Best Offensive Player and Most Outstanding Player awards. In 2007 her 20 wins (domestic and international combined) tied her with Misty for the most wins in a single season. She is a two-time AVP MVP and has been part of the Tour’s Team of the Year for the past five seasons.
